Antenatal & Early Postnatal Diploma
“I’ve been meaning to reach out to say thank you for all your advice.
We put so much of it into practice when we were in the hospital, especially when it came to questioning the doctors and midwife’s and taking control of final decisions. You gave us the confidence to do that”
This is real feedback from one of our founder Sam’s antenatal clients! This is the sort of feedback you could be receiving regularly if you follow your passion for birth and supporting parents as they start or grow their families. Working as an antenatal educator means you are making real change, one birth at a time. This positive influence has a ripple effect, on the family you have supported, and the community you are in.
It can feel really daunting making the leap to change your career or path you are on. We know how this feels, we did it! It’s why we guarantee to support you not just with learning but with running your business long after you graduate with us.

Why the world needs more Antenatal Teachers
-
1
As an antenatal teacher, you’ll be guiding expectant parents through one of the most life-changing experiences of their lives. Your role is to provide knowledge, reassurance, and practical support, helping them feel confident and prepared for birth and early parenthood. Teaching antenatal classes isn’t just about sharing information—it’s about creating a space where parents feel heard, supported, and empowered.
-
2
We don’t sugarcoat the reality of the maternity system—it’s in crisis. With rising rates of inductions, interventions, and abdominal births, physiological birth is becoming less and less the norm. As an antenatal teacher, your role is to equip parents with knowledge, confidence, and a clear understanding of their options, so they can navigate the system and make the choices that are right for them—not just what’s convenient for the system.
-
3
Look at the stats! We have solid evidence that informed, confident parents are more likely to have positive birth experiences. Understanding their options can reduce the risk of Caesarean or instrumental birth, lower the need for pain relief or induction, and even lead to shorter labours. Plus, good antenatal education increases the likelihood of successful breastfeeding. Knowledge is powerful
-
4
We’ve heard many names for great antenatal teachers—guides, mentors, even life-changers—and we totally get it. The right support during pregnancy can have a lasting impact, helping parents feel empowered, informed, and ready for birth and beyond. Antenatal education doesn’t just benefit the parents in your class—it ripples out to their families, their babies, and their wider community. And in today’s maternity system, that kind of support has never been more needed.
-
5
Parents need and deserve to feel supported. As an antenatal teacher, you’ll be there to guide, nurture, and empower them—helping them feel held in a system that often doesn’t. The knowledge and confidence you provide will have a lasting impact, not just on parents but on their babies too.
-
6
Continuity of care is proven to improve outcomes for parents—but in the UK, it’s something many simply don’t get. That’s why antenatal education is so vital. As an antenatal teacher, you’ll help parents understand their rights, find their voice, and feel confident making informed choices.
